The reality show giant has been attended by 224 islanders since it first aired in June 2015.

It will soon return to our screen and Laura Whitmore will come back to help the single find love in the villa.

ITV2 states: “Love Island is a dating show OG, and after seven years of matchmaking, marriage and babies, we officially own love for eight weeks this summer.

“So defeat everyone you pretend to be-love is ours.”

There are also new photos showing the new villa being refurbished by the builder to prepare the camera for the latest series.

The 6-bedroom accommodation is located in Mallorca, the original location of the show.

This update follows the news that producers have switched the contestant recruitment process and encouraged non-binary individuals to apply for the show.
