Megan McKenna reveals she’s playing at Glastonbury 2022

Former TOWIE star Megan McKenna has announced that he will make his Glastonbury debut this year.

She will be the first X Factor winner to perform at the festival after leading the X Factor: Celebrity in 2019.

The singer shared exciting news with her fans on an Instagram post.

She writes: “This is probably the biggest moment I’ve ever had in my life. I’m playing Glastonbury!

“I’m literally crying happily. I worked hard to finally get here. Baby Megan is very proud! See you on Sunday, June 26th!”

Her famous friend immediately congratulated Megan.

TOWIE star Ferne McCann commented:

This was followed by a second message, “This is very proud of you.”

Jema Collins shared a lot of praised emojis and said, “It’s done really well.”

Love Island star Laura Anderson also says “Unreal meg”.

Megan also shared the video, “I can’t even say how excited I am. That is, Glastonbury is the biggest festival in the UK and I feel like I worked very hard.

“I honestly feel like I’m living my dream.”

Megan McKenna is currently pioneering a singing career

Megan left the ITV reality show The OnlyWay Is Essex in 2017, turning her talent into singing and composing.

The 29-year-old wants to be a successful country star.

She won X Factor: Celebrity in 2019, a year after releasing her debut studio album Story of Me.

Simon Cowell’s record label Syco offered her a record deal following her victory. She later took a tour of Michael Ball and Alfie Boe.

Glastonbury will be held from Wednesday, June 22nd to Sunday, June 26th

Glastonbury headliners include Billie Eilish, Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar and Diana Ross.

James Arthur, who won the X Factor in 2012, previously blamed the Snob Festival after failing to make a lineup in 2019.

About This Morning, he said, “I think I’m reliable enough to play these things. I think I was made to play at Glastonbury and these big festivals. I’m a musician.”

Megan will be the winner of the first X Factor to play in Glastonbury.

She recently revealed that she was open to the struggles of transitioning from reality TV to a music career and changed her image to be taken more seriously in the music industry.

One of her changes involves melting the lip filler.

In an interview with Closer, she said:

“When I was on TV, people were only talking about my lips. I wanted to be known by my voice, not by the mouth of the trout.”
